María Alejandra Arróyave

Hello!! Estoy súper feliz de tenerlos de regreso! El día de hoy les voy a platicar un poco de María Alejandra Arróyave, que es una diseñadora mexicana y le pedí que me contara un poco de su vida para poder platicarles.

Desde pequeña, ser diseñadora fue lo que siempre quería ser de grande, dice que le gustaba hacerle la ropa a sus muñecas, amaba bocetar y todo lo relacionado con el diseño de modas. Al final decidió estudiar diseño industrial en el ITESM para tener conocimientos más amplios en diseño y durante su carrera, en el 2014, pudo irse un semestre a especializarse en Diseño de Modas en el Politécnico di Milano, en la capital de la moda; y fue ahí donde conoció a un “ángel” capitalista que confió en su talento para poder empezar con la marca. Un año de planeación, pruebas y trámites que a partir del 29 de octubre del 2015 tuvo la oportunidad de lanzarlo al mundo.

No tiene mucho que lanzó la marca, pero tiene una increible colección cápsula de 9 prendas pero el que más le llama la atención es el crop top y la falda Cook, que nos dice que resalta perfecto las cualidades de la mujer actual.

Los diseñadores que la inspiran son Christian Siriano por su feminidad y el arte de cada vestido de Zac Posen, y lo que la inspira a hacer sus diseños es la vida misma y sus aspiraciones. Abstraer la vida en formas geométricas y contrastes, tal y como es nuestro paso por el mundo; “Un día es blanco y al siguiente de otro color.” dijo Alejandra.

Su marca va dirigida a la mujer trabajadora, exitosa, social. A la mujer que va de la oficina a una cena con sus amigas; la mujer actual que es independiente y femenina, se siente poderosa y así se refleja.

A María Alejandra siempre le han gustado los retos, las responsabilidades, ser activa y cuando le llegó la oportunidad no dudó en lanzarse, ella dice que cada dificultad la ayuda a seguir adelante y nunca rendirse.

Algo que quiso compartir fue que un diseñador que siempre la inspiró pero que no tuvo la oportunidad de ser conocida es su abuela paterna, quien diseñaba y cosía vestidos hermosos a todos sus hijos, nietos, amigos, etc; nunca le tocó verla coser pero sus tías le enseñan sus trabajos y dice que lo que hacía era hermoso, este proyecto no sólo es reflejo de sus sueños, sino de muchas personas atrás que creen en esto.

Yo estoy usando su jacket “Palolem” que es una chamarra con mangas semitransparentes que puede darte un look casual o más arreglado ya que puedes combinarlo con cualquier pieza ya sea falda o pantalón. En este caso yo utilicé un outfit totalmente negro y la chamarra le daba el toque especial.

Hi!! I’m very happy to have you back! Today I’m going to talk about Maria Alejandra Arroyave, a Mexican designer whom I asked to tell me a little about her.

Since childhood, being a fashion designer was what she always wanted to be when she grew older, she told me she designed her dolls clothes, sketched, and loved everything about fashion design. She decided to study industrial design at ITESM to have more extensive knowledge in design and during her career in 2014, she could go a semester to specialize in Fashion Design at the Politecnico di Milano, of course in the fashion capital; and it was there where she met a capitalist “angel” who relied on her talent to start with the brand. A year of planning and testing so that on the 29^th of October 2015 she could have the opportunity to launch her brand to the world.

Not long ago she launched the brand, but she has an amazing collection of 9 pieces, but the one that she likes the most is the crop top and skirt called “Cook”, she told me that this match highlights the qualities of the modern woman.

She gets inspired by two designers, Christian Siriano with his feminity and the art each dress has of Zac Posen, and what inspires her to do her designs is life itself and its aspirations. She says that it is how we walk around the world; “One day is white and the next day another color”.

Her brand is for working, successful and social woman. The woman who goes from the office to a dinner with friends, the actual women, who feels powerful.

Maria Alejandra have always liked challenges, responsibilities, be active and when the opportunity came she did not hesitate to create her brand, she says that every difficulty keeps her going and helps her to never give up.

Something she wanted to share with us was a designer who always inspired her but couldn’t have the opportunity to get people to know her was her grandmother, who designed and sewed beautiful dresses for all her children, grandchildren, friends, etcetera.

Maria Alejandra says that this project is not only a reflection of her dreams, but that there are many people in the back who believe in this.

In the pictures I’m using her jacket “Palolem” which is a semi-transparent jacket with sleeves that can give you a casual look or classy because you can use it with skirt or pants. In this case I used a black look and the jacket gave me the special touch.
