Cuando pienso en el maquillaje para primavera me imagino una piel radiante, mejillas rosadas y algunos tonos pastel, pero esta temporada tenemos más que eso. Ya que los make-up artists del momento están más inspirados que nunca y llenaron fashion week de glitter, colores eléctricos, dorados y labios metálicos. Me queda claro que esta temporada el glitter no tiene límites. Esta moda tiene dos extremos, menos es más o entre más…mejor! ¿Cuál te gusta a ti? Aquí abajo encontrarás un resúmen de las 10 tendencias de maquillaje más importantes de Primavera/Verano 2019.
Eyeliner On Point
Esta temporada, los makeup artists nos enseñaron posibilidades infinitas de cómo usar el delineador, dejando a un lado lo tradicional y creando trazos gruesos o líneas que rodean todo el ojo. Todo se vale, pero que sea único! Veamos entonces los ejemplos más divertidos de las pasarelas. Pat McGrath jugó en Marni creando un look dramático corriendo desde el lagrimal hasta el borde de la ceja y en Rochas hizo un cat eye “sin relleno”. En Dior, el makeup artist jugó con el delineado dejando looks con delineador negro en la waterline del ojo y en otros looks haciendo líneas gruesas fuera del ojo formando figuras, y en Dries Van Noten, el negro fue utilizado como sombra negra.
It’s Glitter Season, Bitches!
Esta temporada más es más si te gusta resaltar. En Simone Rocha, Sam Bryant, el maquillista de las celebridades, utilizó glitter en el párpado cerca del lagrimal. El makeup en Missoni fue enfocado en los ojos, cubriendo en mayor parte el lagrimal y el centro del párpado usando tonos pastel con mucho glitter (TOP). El maquillaje en Valentino fue increíble, Pat McGrath creó un cat eye en color esmeralda cubierto de Swarovskis y a otras modelos las maquilló con labios rosas cubiertos con piedras y piel radiante. La pasarela de Versace lució un cat eye azul verdoso. Mientras que Giambattista Valli se enfocó en el cabello de sus modelos en donde Paul Hanlon, el hair stylist, les tiñó el cabello de colores rosa y por supuesto glitter. Lo mejor como siempre para el final, el makeup de Jeremy Scott me encantó como el makeup fue glitter lips, nude eye and structured faces logrando un súper contour en las modelos. Hello cheekbones!
Peaked Lashes
En Prada, Pat McGrath creó un look enfocado en los sesentas con pestañas largas y gruesas estilo la hermosa supermodelo Twiggy, labios color carne, sombra en brochazos y cejas casi inexistentes. En Chanel, Lucia Pica mezcló labios de color fuerte y pestañas puntiagudas.
Focus on the classic red lip
El look clásico de labios rojos que jamás pasará de moda, lo vimos en Burberry, Givenchy y en Escada con un look que Pat McGrath creó.
The No Makeup, Makeup
Pat McGrath logró el balance perfecto en Stella McCartney de piel radiante. Val Garland hizo el makeup de Giambattista Valli y de Isabel Marant logrando una piel perfecta con brillo natural, en Balmain logró algo igual y simple. Peter Philips se encargó del makeup en Fendi creando párpados y piel luminosa.
Feeling fresh
Tom Pecheux lo logró en Brandon Maxwell, Ralph Lauren y Alberta Ferretti; Thomas de Kluyver en Jil Sander, Lucia Pieroni en Christopher Kane y Pat McGrath en Burberry. Me encanta.
Color, maybe?
Val Garland logró crear uno de mis looks favoritos de fashion week en Erdem usando sombra verde esmeralda logrando piel radiante en las modelos, James Kaliardos usó azul, rosa y amarillo para Rodarte, mi favorito de todos los looks y en Marc Jacobs combinando pelo con sombra “baby pink”, por último Tom Pecheux creando un look con sombra color durazno para Altuzarra.
Smokey Classic
El que nunca falla, smokey eye look. Diane Kendal en Tom Ford lo logró haciendo un look metálico pero clásico y elegante al mismo tiempo. En Oscar de la Renta, Tom Pecheux creó un smokey eye con tonos morados logrando piel perfecta
Details Everywhere
Hubo muchos estilos de uñas para fashion week pero mis favoritas se las lleva Jeremy Scott, jugando con dos tonos creando algo súper diferente como si una “órbita” que rodeaba la uña.
Baby bangs
¿Qué tanto te gustan los flecos? Esta temporada Guido Palau cortó un copete extremadamente pequeño en Prada y Miu Miu.

When I think about spring makeup the first thought that comes in my mind is glowy skin, pink cheeks and some pastel eyeshadow, but this season we have even more. Make up artists were more inspired than ever, with glitter, electric colors, gold and metallic lips, this season glitter is unstoppable and we have two sides, or you stick to less is more, or you can also think more is more. Eyeliner On Point
This season, makeup artists showed us different ways to wear eyeliner, leaving in the side the traditional look and creating thick lines or lines that go through all the eye, so now everything is allowed, just make it unique. Like Pat McGrath did in Marni, creating a look completely dramatic from the lacrimal to the brow or in Rochas with a cat eye without fill, or in Dior, the makeup artist played with the eyeliner leaving in some looks a simple look with black in the waterline and in other looks thick lines outside of the eye creating shapes, and in Dries Van Noten it was used as black eyeshadow.
It’s Glitter Season, Bitches!
As I have already told you, this season means more is more if you like to show up. In Simone Rocha, makeup artist Sam Bryant used glitter in the eyelid close to the lacrimal. Makeup in Missoni was focused on the eyes, covering most part of the lacrimal and the center of the eyelid using pastel tones and a lot of glitter. Valentino’s makeup was TOP, Pat McGrath did a green cat eye covered with Swarovski in some models and in others he did pink lips covered with Swarovski too having perfect skin. Versace had a blue-green cat eye and we cannot forget about Giambattista Valli where hairstylist created an amazing hair look mixing glitter and dying the hair baby pink, last but not least, Jeremy Scott makeup was glitter lips, nude eye and structured faces achieving the perfect contour in the models. Hello cheekbones!
Peaked Lashes
In Prada, Pat McGrath created a look focusing on the sixties with clumpy eyelashes, nude lips and brush strokes eyeshadow and soft eyebrows almost as if you couldn’t see them. In Chanel, Lucia Pica mixed bold lips and pointy lashes.
Focus on the classic red lip
The classic red lip look that will never go out of style, we saw it in Burberry, Givenchy and Escada.
The No Makeup, Makeup
Pat McGrath created the perfect balance in Stella McCartney having a perfect skin. Val Garland did Giambattista Valli makeup and also Isabel Marant achieving perfect skin with natural glow also in Balmain. Peter Phillips created a glowy look in Fendi.

Smokey Classic
Perfect for any occasion, smokey eye look. Diane Kendal achieved it in Tom Ford being metallic but classic and elegant at the same time. In Oscar de la Renta, Tom Pecheux did a perfect smokey eye using purple and leaving glowy skin in the models.
Details Everywhere
There were many nail style in this past SS19 Fashion Week but my favorite ones are from Jeremy Scott catwalk, using two tones but creating an “orbit” that covered the whole nail.
Baby bangs
¿How much do you like bangs? This season Guido Palau cut bangs extremely short for Prada and Miu Miu.
